Meet Steve
Steve loves living under the bed, munching his favorite snacks, and spending time with Kate and her family. But one day, Steve disappears.
As Kate imagines all the places he might have gone, family, friends, and neighbors come together to help search for the furry friend who has hopped his way into everyone's heart.
Filled with playful rhymes, delightful illustrations, and an uplifting message about community and asking for help, My Bunny Steve is a story children will want to read again and again.
Recommended for ages 4–8.

A proud Midwesterner, Shanna Ingalsbee grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan, but now calls sunny Burbank, California, her home. She earned an associate’s degree in Secondary Education and a bachelor’s in Theater and Communications from Western Michigan University. She has worn many different hats in her career as a serial volunteerer and has never let her inexperience stop her from trying something new. Like writing this book. Her longest volunteer commitment has been as a human rights activist with Amnesty International. She has served in several regional and national positions for the organization including as the unofficial Official Poet Laureate of the Midwest Region. That’s when she began her journey of rhyme. She met Steve the bunny when she was asked to take care of him while his family was out of town. Then she lost him in the house. During the search she thought, “This might make a good children’s book someday.” The rest is history.
Meet the Illustrator
Meet the Author
Chris Jones studied fine arts and graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a bachelor’s in Studio Art. After a short period working in the film industry, Chris found a passion for illustrating custom automobiles for clients building their dream hot rods and muscle cars at home, bringing to life the ideas of automotive glory that lived in the client’s imagination. He continues his artistic endeavors privately now and occasionally takes commissions. This is his first illustrated children’s book.
